Stickman Heroes Beginner's Guide: Classes, Elements and Gear Rules
Stickman Heroes' class jobs, the partner element split, and the gear and rune rules that make enhancement free to move and synthesis strict.
"Stickman Heroes" is a working translation. The game currently runs in Chinese as a WeChat mini game and an Android release, so treat the class names here as descriptions of what each one does rather than as the labels on your screen. The decision that traps new accounts is class choice. You pick the class you enjoy, then discover you cannot star it up, and you spend a week playing a weaker version of the character you would rather have.
Pick a class by star supply, not by damage
Each class has a job, and the jobs are not equally easy to fund.
| Class | Job | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Swordsman | Melee damage with fire attached | Popular pick |
| Mage | Ranged area burst plus control | Skill-driven |
| Ranger | Long-range bow damage | Long range |
| Swordheart | Fast attacks with area damage and assist | Beginner-friendly |
| Sunflower | Punching with repositioning | Flexible, but hard to star up |
| Axe | Late-game main damage | Weak early, strong once funded |
| Dancer | Support and recovery | Team slot, not a carry |
If you want the smoothest first account, take the swordheart. It attacks quickly, hits an area and assists, which covers most early stages without needing rare copies.
If you insist on the sunflower, accept that its star level will lag. Play it as a repositioning tool rather than a damage carry, and keep a second damage class funded.
The axe is a late main carry, not a starting pick. If you begin with it, expect the early stages to be slower than the class's reputation suggests.
Elements decide the job, not the tier
Partners and spirits split by element, and each element answers a different question.
- Fire is pure damage. The monkey sits at the top of that ceiling, so fire is where you look when a boss timer runs out.
- Earth is defense. It is what keeps the team alive through a phase you cannot dodge.
- Wind is control. It buys time and interrupts, which matters when the enemy's damage window is the problem.
- Water is support. Healing and shields extend a run that would otherwise end early.
If your team dies before the boss phase, add earth or water. If the boss phase arrives and the health bar barely moves, add fire. Those are opposite failures, and adding more of the same element cannot fix both.
The monkey is the highest-ceiling fire partner and the standard target for fire investment. The mermaid is the water support most often named alongside it, which makes the pair a common core rather than a coincidence.
Thirty recruits is a guarantee
The recruit system guarantees an SSR at thirty pulls. That is a threshold, not a suggestion, so track your count.
If you are past twenty pulls, finish to thirty before switching banners or stopping. If you are below ten pulls, treat the counter as unstarted and do not expect an early SSR.
The guarantee matters because it is the only predictable way to add a high-tier partner. A build that depends on a lucky early pull is a build with no floor.
Enhancement moves; synthesis does not
Gear enhancement transfers losslessly and always succeeds. That makes enhancement a safe place to put materials: when you replace a piece, the investment follows the replacement instead of dying with the old item.
If a piece is still your best in slot, enhance it without worrying about the next drop. The lossless transfer rule is exactly what makes that safe.
Synthesis is the strict system, and three conditions apply at once:
- Only orange gear at one star or above can be synthesized.
- The two pieces must be the same gear.
- Equipped gear cannot be used.
If a synthesis option is unavailable even though you have duplicates, unequip the equipped copy first. If one copy is below one star, level it before trying again. If the pieces are different gear, there is no synthesis, no matter how many orange items you own.
Enhancement and refine materials come from dungeons, shops, and events.
Runes: two attack speed, four crit
Runes come in two-, four-, and six-piece sets. The beginner default is two attack speed runes plus four crit runes, which balances how often you attack with how hard the hits land.
If you cannot complete a set yet, use the two-piece attack speed bonus and fill the remaining slots with crit. Do not equip an off-set rune just because its raw number looks bigger; a broken set usually loses to a completed one.
Enchant priority is attack first, crit rate second, endurance third. Attack raises the base that everything else multiplies from. Crit rate turns that base into spikes. Endurance keeps the character alive long enough for the spikes to matter.
If a piece offers all three, keep it. If you have to choose, take attack while your base is low, then move to crit rate once attack is comfortable.
FAQ
Which class should a new player pick?
The swordheart, because it is the most beginner-friendly and its area damage covers early stages without rare copies. The sunflower is flexible but hard to star up, and the axe only pays off late.
Is enhancement worth it on gear I will replace?
Yes. Enhancement transfers losslessly and always succeeds, so the investment moves with you when you upgrade.
Why can't I synthesize my duplicate orange gear?
Check three things: both pieces must be orange and at least one star, they must be the same gear, and neither can be equipped. One equipped copy is enough to block the option.
